About me

Hey there friends!

I'm Heather Chappell

My husband and I built a new home in 2019. We were owner builders and did a lot of the work ourselves. To save costs and time, we built the shell of the house. When we moved in, we did many DIY projects for our home. We are getting ready to build our 2nd custom home and can’t wait to DIY it. One day at a time. One project at a time. Projects around the house can be overwhelming to complete but if you just take one on a time and just go from day to day. You can accomplish anything. Start small and work your way up. It can be scary but the best thing to do is to try. You never know what hidden talents you may have. Follow me and my journey to make this new house a home. Filled with DIY projects, sources and of course some great recipes along the way.

DIY PROJECTS

I try to make my DIY projects easy and simple for anyone to do. To do something that doesn’t look to amateur and more professional. Honestly, I choose the projects I do because I want to do it and it’s a good challenge. I’m alway up for a project and trying something new. My advice would be to not be afraid and just try and start somewhere. Start small and work your way up. You don’t become an expert overnight. It takes a lot of projects and time and definitely a lot of mistakes along the way. DIY is all about learning as you go.
