DIY DUPE BLACK POTTERY BARN PUMPKINS

I came across these black terracotta pumpkins from Pottery Barn. But I wasn’t excited about spending an arm and a leg on all the different sizes of pumpkins they offered, let alone on just one. I will admit, I don’t mind spending my money on some items but some items aren’t worth it for me, especially if I know I can DIY it myself.

I found these ceramic pumpkins from Michaels and Joann. They also offer a couple other styles and sizes. But I loved the smaller sizes. Besides the pumpkins, all you need is black acrylic paint, baking soda and a paint brush. This project is really easy and will go fast

Quick and Easy steps to making these adorable pumpkins!

All you’re going to do it squeeze some black paint on a paper plate and mix about a spoonful or so of baking soda with your paint brush. The paint will begin to get kind of clumpy. This will give the effect of a more “pottery textured” look to your pumpkins.

Now just start painting your pumpkins with your mixed paint. As a little plus, just before the paint completely dries sprinkle a little baking soda on the top of the pumpkin.
